Scuba Diving Sipadan & Mabul

April 15th, 2010 UK-Visa Comments off

Sipadan was literally paradise. I had never felt so privileged and amazed since I had learnt to dive in the Red Sea. Since, I have been to many places that claimed to be world class dive sites but had only got disappointment; I really could tell that Sipadan diving definitely was world class. I saw countless turtles and sharks in each dive. The coral was amazing, vibrant and alive. There were so many fish that I had never before seen so many together in one place. A prefect healthy reef!

I must say that the government’s decision to limit the per day divers is pretty smart since u can clearly feel the difference between diving at Sipadan and diving at Mabul Island. On the shores of Sipadan, we took breaks between each dive to relax. It is a small island with army barracks, formerly resorts, for soldiers stationed here for its protection. This is the perfect island to live on with perfect island life. Crystal clear water, beautiful white sand, palm trees and lots of peace and serenity.

I would strongly recommend you all to take a week off from work and fly to Kuala Lumpur, then catch a reasonably priced flight to Tawau from where it’s only a two hour drive to Semporna. Here u get on a speed boat that will take you to the Mabul Island Resorts. As soon as you are here, you only have to relax and dive as much as you want.
